2021 - Present

M&C Saatchi Open House Participant 

A whirlwind experience learning from the industries greatest. Between sessions I have read a lot of books, and practised, practised a lot.

2021 - 2022

Teaching Assistant

At The Laurels Primary school 26% of students receive pupil premium. In high levels of deprivation, teaching commands emotional intelligence, communication and an unwavering belief the powers of conversation and creativity. The potential to expand a child's imagination, ignite new passions, and provide access to socio-economic mobility.

2012 - 2021

Student, Contributing Writer and Customer Assistant

Whilst synthesising a thousand years worth of English literature, I wrote journalism  for the following credits: The Epigram, Her Campus Media, That's What She Said. Between studies I also worked on the welcome desk at Waitrose and served food at Jonny's Restaurant Worthing. My schedule got pretty busy!

UAL London College of Communications | Certification of Short Courses

I will shortly begin a Practical Public Relations and Media Communications course before considering to apply for an MA in PR at UAL.

2012 - 2015

University | English Bachelor's Degree with Second Class First Division Honours

Covered literature throughout vast cultural movements across the transatlantic. My specialism focused on Black British fiction in relation to the UK publishing industry.

Skills
& Expertise

  • Communication/creativity: Excellent written and verbal skills. Authored a range of student editorials. Partaker in the University of Bristol Drama Society and obtained (All Distinctions:) Grade 6 Recital, Grade 6 Speech and Drama, Grade 3 Acting from the New Era Academy.

  • Critical Thinking: In academia, have completed modules in ‘critical issues’ and ‘critical practise’. Intuitively, able to address problems from different perspectives after time in hospitality honing emotional intelligence. 

  • Resilient: Adept to manage setbacks and pressure. During lockdown, mobilised social media to advertise home deliveries. This ensured business was able to stay open and profit. 

  • Internet Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; completed NVQ Level 1 Computing. 

  • Meticulous approach:  The process of proofreading and fact-checking for student journalism requires close precision and patience. Particularly putting an emphasis on attention to even the smallest detail.

  • Credible Connector: Thrive in forming relationships with people across University Societies. The prospect of collaborating with creators and thinkers is highly motivating.
